I chose the topic of Privacy. I used the Gale Virtual Reference Library and found a very interesting article about how our privacy has changed and violated our Human Rights  after 9/11 and the introduction of the Patriot Act.

Summary:

I really liked this assignment, and I find the IRIS and GVRL sites to be a huge help, infact I feel like I have been cheating myself out of some good knowledge and resources. I use Brainstorming Bubbles a lot in my critical thinking process, and when it comes time to do papers, or project both for school and personal use

  1. Hi, Mick:

I'm glad you found GVRL helpful and easy to use. It is a great resource for starting academic research with. Wikipedia is great for just a quick topic overview but it's hard to verify.

Your questions are good and point towards the trickiness of the Internet and national laws. The internet is truly global but the rules and regulations are set country by country so it's a it of a muddle.

    Thank you for your efforts,
    Andrea
